Lucks, a 36 year old mixed media artist who had a strong Catholic upbringing. All different strands of religion are explored through his work, encapsulating his beliefs as well as the theme of good and bad luck. Which Lucks believes is the basis of life. Utilising more ‘modern’ artistic techniques, Lucks works contain strong outlines depicting the symbolism of religion and ridge structure of society juxtaposed with wild pop graffiti and tattoo images, displaying his wilder side and experiences of life . Lucks is one of the first street artist in Brisbane and a lot of styles are influenced by his creations. His work is contradictory - urban society vs religion in a sense, good and bad luck.
