“I was always drawing as a kid. My older brother without realizing I think got me into graffiti and other members of my family are very creative. I started off wanting to design and build furniture and after studying for a couple of years realized it wasn’t for me. My work was more conceptual than practical. I then tried applying for different universities in the field of fine arts but got knocked back so decided to try for an artist assistant job. I got the job with Ben Frost (Sydney based contemporary artist) the creator of online art print store Stupid Krap and it was a blessing in disguise. Walking straight into the realm of an artist was the perfect fuel. So I have been painting for two years now and won’t be stopping any time soon, unless my hands fall off. I am obsessed with battles! The idea that we all face challenges on different levels against each other and ourselves. It is one thing throughout history and in the future which will not change.”
